The Design Process.
Noon Lighting is a small team of passionate people, with a combined lighting experience of over 25 years. The ethos behind Noon was to share the knowledge of enhancement lighting and how to implement it, with a focus on believing every space deserves beautiful lighting.
We provide a detailed three step design service; discovery, collation, and execution. Our entire design process is meticulous, with every stage receiving our utmost support and attention, and is tailored for each project.
discovery.
The first stage of our lighting design process is discovery, where we focus on understanding your needs and expectations.
We begin by discussing what initially led you to seek a lighting designer and exploring your current knowledge of lighting design. This helps us tailor our approach to your unique situation.
During this conversation, we clarify your expectations and explain our comprehensive process, which includes design, integration, and handover. At this stage, the only requirement from you for a design cost estimate is providing floor plans.

collation.
The second stage of our lighting design process, collation, focuses on gathering all the necessary information to ensure a tailored and comprehensive design.
At this stage, we send an information request to the customer and all relevant parties involved in the project. This request covers key details required to create a lighting plan that enhances the architecture, complements the interior design, highlights joinery, and provides tailored solutions for kitchens, bathrooms, special areas of interest, and garden spaces.
By consolidating this information, we set the foundation for a thoughtful and cohesive lighting design.
execution.
Once all necessary information is gathered, we develop detailed design works, including 3D callouts, 2D layouts, technical reports, driver and cabling specifications, control system schematics, and load schedules.
A full product specification is prepared, with a first draft issued for review. We refine the design through as many revisions as needed to ensure perfection before delivering the final draft.
This stage also includes comprehensive project management, providing on-site and off-site support, direct communication with trades, and efficient product supply management to ensure timely delivery and installation for each area.
