Childrens Bedroom Quick Lighting Fixes

There’s some really fun, colourful pendants, flush and recessed lighting available on the market and it’s easy to create different vibes and atmospheres with dimmers; you could even consider lighting that goes from cool to warm tones.

Consider the colour of the bulbs within table or desk lamps.  Cool white lighting will help with focus for homework, whilst warm tones are better for settling at bedtime. Smart lamps may also be an option, these can dim gradually before turning off. If your child is a keen reader how about a reading light that can simply be clipped onto the bed.

Floor lamps are ideal for brightening up dark corners of the room and giving your child an increased sense of safety.

You can also use lights as décor, think accent lighting, fairy lights, neon lights, projector lights, lava lamp, glow in the dark stickers or LED strips under/around the bed.

LED Nightlights are comforting, you might also want to consider motion activated nightlights that come on as the child goes to the bathroom at night.

If your child loves to dance how about party lights or a disco ball?

A little attention to lighting can make such huge impact on how a room feels to your child.
